What is SUNLIGHT made of?

SUNLIGHT is an acronym. It brings together several renowned traditions that complement each other in terms of functionality. Specifically SUNLIGHT refers to the following:
S for seeing the situation.
Most people do not achieve their goals or use their potential, not because they are incapable, but because they cannot see their own situation and the options available to them. Our techniques help people clearly see their situation and the opportunities therein.
S also stands for sounding.
This aspect comes from one of our originating traditions, Naam Yoga Therapy, which employs therapeutic music. Life is musical: rhythmic movements and waves, the patterned highs and lows, the speeding up and slowing down.
Scientific research in recent years has proven the powerful effects of sound on the human body-mind. All the music pieces we use in our programs target specific functions, such as energization, relaxation, focus, etc. When combined with other tools in the SUNLIGHT methodology, therapeutic music can achieve magical results. In addition, it does not take any extra time or effort.
N for new ways of thinking, new thoughts and ideas.

This is about breaking through old ways and negative patterns. In a rapid changing time like ours, innovation is the foundation of survival and growth. Once you get into the habit of constantly renewing yourself, it becomes easy to replace negative or limiting patterns.
L for loving yourself

Caring for your own health, physically and mental-emotionally, is the basis of achieving your business or career success as well as attaining fulfillment in all areas of your life. Your healthy self is the core. If that is weakened, everything else can fall away as well. Loving yourself means allowing yourself to breathe and experience joy in everything you do.
I for influencing others, inspiring others

This deals with communication, presentation, ways of motivating others to achieve your dream. In our time, no genius can achieve her or his goals alone. You need to collaborate with others, and we all know how that can complicate things. How to convey your message effectively and harmoniously so that others want to follow you – that is a science and an art.
G for gaming it.

Many times people do not have a sense of fulfillment even when they have succeeded in their goals: somewhere down the road they’ve lost the fun part of their work. An attitude of play keeps you in touch with your passion, your enjoyment and creativity. It also keeps your mind young and open to experimentation and innovation. Play is an essential part of work. Our programs aim at bringing back that sense of gaming.
H for handling it, literally.

This is the most unique aspect of our SUNLIGHT methodology: the use of hands. Human hands and fingers are much more powerful than most people realize. Recent scientific research has proven the significant role human hands play in the shaping of the human mind-body system, and how they are directly wired with the functions of the brain.
These results of modern research coincide with what ancient wise men in many cultures already knew thousands of years ago. Yogic traditions from India in particular have developed a highly sophisticated practice of hand gestures that can have a direct impact on numerous functions of the human body-mind. It is still a relatively strange concept in most North American yoga studios, because we Americans prefer working on “big” muscles (the torso, quads, six-packs, etc). Hand gestures seem so miniscule in contrast.

SUNLIGHT introduces many techniques from Naam Yoga Therapy, one of our source traditions. Unlike most yoga forms, these hand gestures can be done sitting in a chair for increased energy, mental clarity, deep relaxation, and many other functions. Best of all, it takes only three to five minutes for you to feel the benefits. When you activate and master the power of your hands, almost every area of your life will see an improvement.
All the other sections of our SUNLIGHT system are positively enhanced by our “handy” tools.
T for tapping into the power of your spirit.

This is NOT about religious beliefs or practice. No matter what spiritual tradition you are from, we believe there is a lot more to you than what meets the eye. Life’s journey becomes miraculous and meaningful when you engage that essential part of you, your spirit, your soul, you core.
No matter what your tradition is, we have tools to help you get connected with your spirit and fully benefit from its power in practical everyday situations.
These eight elements of our SUNLIGHT methodology are applied in our coaching or training programs, sometimes as aspects of one training session, other times in a sequential order over a certain period. What is most important to us is not the theory or even the science behind our methodology. It is the actual experience that our clients have that makes our work meaningful.
All the SUNLIGHT coaches and trainers use our own methodology in our own daily life. In other words, our methodology is rooted in our own practice. It is our belief, our life and our work. We share with our clients the benefits we have experienced ourselves from the methodology. We know you will enjoy and benefit from them as much as we do. After all, it is sunlight.
Executives from Microsoft, Booz Allen Hamilton, and other leading companies rave about the results they receive from this process. Professionals from all walks of life have benefitted from the amazing effects of this methodology. You will, too.
Where does SUNLIGHT come from?
This is a strange-sounding but very good question.
The SUNLIGHT methodology blends the best of several therapeutic and coaching traditions to bring about a rapid and effective transformation in a person.
Our original traditions include:
1) Strategic interventionTM ( including personal needs psychology, rapid therapy, positive psychology)
This tradition believes that people have the ability to break through any challenge in an instant when they realize their limiting beliefs, which then can be replaced by new life-enhancing ones. Success and failure exist in the mindset. A shift in the mind shifts your reality. A series of techniques are used to induce this mindset shift.
2) Naam Yoga Therapy
This is not the kind of yoga you see in most North American gyms or yoga studios. It comes from the thousand-year-old tradition of mental yoga (Raja yoga), and utilizes many special tools or mini exercises that can be done anywhere, anytime, in any position (standing, sitting, walking, lying in bed, etc.). Best of all, you can do it for as little as three minutes.
The beneficial effects of Naam Yoga therapeutic techniques have many specific mental-physical functions, such as increasing physical energy, strengthening the nervous system, improving memory, and so on. It also includes a personal energy assessment tool that enables the practitioner to customize treatment for each individual client. Different clients with the same complaint may receive completely different treatments.
Once you have made a mindset shift, Naam Yoga Therapy provides the practical tools so you can make the energetic or physiological shift needed to achieve you goal at lightening speed. With these tools you can go on the highway of healing and transformation.
Naam Yoga Therapy techniques produce such outstanding results, because they work directly on the breath. All meditative traditions agree on one point — mental activity is inextricably connected with breath. That is: a success mindset has its own breathing pattern, so does an overwhelmed mindset. If you sustain a strong unshakable breath in the midst of a crisis or shock or burnout, you’ll find your way through it without fail. Breath-work has a direct and intricate impact on your nervous system, heart, brain, and the entire physiology. By doing so, it orchestrates your physiological functions to produce the specific type of energy you need to get the specific results you want to achieve.
By using the techniques from Naam Yoga Therapy you transform your breath, your mindset, and your energy, three minutes at a time.
3) Executive and Business Coaching
Knowledge and skills in this area help us understand your needs as a leader in business or a highly skilled professional in the workplace, and therefore facilitate your search for solutions that satisfy these specific needs. All our coaching and training programs incorporate this tradition in both style and content. You will find many work-related issues and personal issues resolved at the same time.
Each of the traditions we draw on is well established and well known for its effectiveness. Thousands of professionals and entrepreneurs from all walks of life have used them, so have executives from Microsoft, Booz Allen Hamilton, and other leading companies.
Most training programs focus on the conscious mind, namely, your ideas, plans, and strategies. Even those “behavioral programs” rely on your conscious efforts, willpower, or motivation, to bring about changes. As most neuroscientists or psychologists would agree, the conscious mind is nothing but the tip of the iceberg, and accounts for about five percent of the total mental-emotional being within each individual. The ninety-five percent of our thoughts, feelings, learning occurs in the subconscious level, which works mostly through your daily habits. If you’ve ever tried to wrestle with a habit (e.g., overeating), making a conscious effort to discipline it or change it, you know how counterproductive that approach can be.
This is where our methodology stands out: We work with both the conscious and the subconscious mind to bring out the transformation you want to achieve. We work to help you identify the limiting belief system that is creating havoc in a situation, and at the same time provide you with tools to shift your subconscious mind. That is what SUNLIGHT can accomplish. Expect pleasant surprises!
